WiWiNow

The digitisation project around the mobile app WiWiNow is an interdisciplinary project of business informatics specialists economists and the University of Bremen as well as the University of Applied Sciences Schmalkalden, which transfers innovative technological solutions into university teaching and learning contexts. On the one hand, the project meets the demands of digitalisation and, on the other, the special requirements of the Corona pandemic. The project is divided into a scientific and a practical part.

Scientific part

The scientific part consists of the investigation of design requirements for a mobile app to solve student problems during the "transition-in" phase of studies. Subsequent analyses are devoted to the effect of app use on learning success.

Practical part

The practical part of the project includes the design, development and implementation of a mobile app to address student problems during the "transition-in" phase of first-year students and to increase learning success.
