Seminar: In the middle of life: find new horizons or carry on?

First career seminar of the Alumni Association has taken place successfully

The first career seminar of the alumni took place on Saturday, February 18, in the university guest house on the Teerhof. The topic was ‘In the middle of life:
find new horizons or carry on?’. After some short-term cancellations due to illness and operational reasons, four participants from very different fields came together: from cultural studies and IT financial development to psychology and corporate headquarters. A confidential, personal discussion quickly arose - confidentiality had been agreed beforehand - and so all questions could be discussed openly together. Each presented his or her own situation, the future considerations and the different options. The intensive atmosphere led to profound and fundamental questions, but then also to the concrete development of the conditions and questions to be clarified for the next major career step of each individual participating alumni with the concrete steps for implementation. In the final round, the focus was on these concrete approaches: one participant is considering becoming self-employed, another has found the key to profiling his performance, and everyone has gained new perspectives. The small group made the work very effective and personal.

We received very positive feedback from the participants of the seminar. During the events, they were not only able to collect many suggestions for the future, but also had the opportunity to meet new alumni members and network.
