Networking from, for and with Alumni

To mark the 50th anniversary of the University of Bremen, a staged reading was created in 2021 as part of the project “From the Files to the Stage” by the bremer shakespeare company. Now – four years later – the University Archive is celebrating its 25th anniversary. On this occasion, the play about the founding of the university was performed once again on June 11 in the new Forum at Domshof – with the support of our alumni association. Numerous alumni were in the audience and enjoyed an exciting and entertaining evening with insights into the university's eventful founding history.
For those making last-minute plans: the University Archive will open its doors on June 18 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

This year's “CAMPUS AWARD: Research for a Sustainable Future”, which is also supported by the Alumni Association, is honoring one dissertation and two master's theses. Mariela Tapia, Rohit Samant, and Niccolò Orlandi provide encouraging impulses for solving urgent ecological challenges and were presented with the award on May 7.

Together with the "unifreunde", the Alumni of the University of Bremen invited guests to the 15th Conrad Naber Lecture. We are pleased that so many alumni attended this special event and were able to gain exciting insights into the discussion on leisure in polar and marine research. The lecture also addressed how political events have radically changed international collaboration.
