Bremen Early Career Researcher Development
The Latest Info
15 - 19 September 2025: Postdoc Appreciation Week
Inspired by Postdoc Appreciation Weeks in the USA and the UK, a similar initiative was launched in Germany in 2022. The aim is to focus on Postdocs for a week, to make their achievements in research and teaching, but also their needs visible, and to bundle events for this target group throughout Germany. The fourth Postdoc Appreciation Week (PAW) will take place from September 15 to 19, 2025. The wide range of events, launched by different German universities (among them University of Bremen), includes many online impulse talks, discussions and workshops in which you can participate – free of charge, of course. The program covers topics such as publishing, third-party funding, appointment procedures, the German law about short contracts in research, careers beyond academia, mental health and many more!
