For Postdocs and Advanced Researchers

In order to support you on your way to a professorship or a position in business and civil society, we offer you training measures and events explicitly aimed at postdoctoral researchers. The focus is on career orientation, academic career development and personal development.

The Data Science Center offers a diverse program of courses on research data management, data science, data analysis and artificial intelligence.
The Language Centre organizes special English courses and coaching and the Writer's Help Desk for the needs of academics, for example for teaching and publications.

University of Bremen and University of Oldenburg have concluded an agreement to open the workshops of BYRD and the Graduate Academy for Early Career Researchers of the other university. Please refer to this website for information on the workshop offers of the Graduate Academy in Oldenburg.

YUFE Staff Portal

The University of Bremen is a member of YUFE - Young Universities for the Future of Europe. Researchers are welcome to participate in the online courses offered on the YUFE Staff portal.

For Parents

If you face difficulties to attend a workshop due to the lack of childcare, the Family Care Office can help, for example with the emergency childcare program "Notfallmamas".

For Doctoral Researchers

We organize a varied program to support you throughout the  process towards the doctoral degree, which we have bundled under the mottos “networking”, “independent research” and “personality development”. Our qualification program also comprises measures offered by our cooperation partners which are especially suitable for doctoral researchers.

The Data Science Center provides a diverse range of training sessions tailored for researchers across all disciplines. It offers both interdisciplinary and subject-specific programs designed to cater to various skill levels.The trainings cover the entire data lifecycle, includng research data management, data science, data analysis, artificial intelligence, as well as ethical, legal, and social aspects of data science.
