Location as an Opportunity

Our important partners include the universities in Bremen State but also universities in the surrounding region such as the University of Oldenburg, the Universit?t Hamburg, and other North German universities. We coordinate our course programs, implement joint degree programs, and cooperate in developing quality assurance procedures.

Well Connected in Europe and Beyond

Our global network encompasses several hundred universities across Europe and beyond – among them a number of universities with which we have entered into strategic partnerships. In Europe, we support student exchanges with over 300 Erasmus partner universities. Northwest Alliance

The Northwest Alliance unites the University of Bremen and the University of Oldenburg with decades of experience in research, teaching, and knowledge transfer. Together, with around 580 professorships, 6,400 employees, 2,700 doctoral students, and 34,000 students, they form the core of a high-performance center of science in northwestern Germany.

YUFE - Young Universities for the Future of Europe

As one of ten partner universities, the University of Bremen is working with the YUFE Alliance to build a strong Europe based on solidarity and cooperation. Together, they are pursuing the goal of establishing an open and inclusive European university. This university offers students and staff opportunities across Europe to further their development in education, research, and their careers.
