07, Process-Oriented Technology Design

In its research this group deals with the development as well as operation of production facilities, from basic mechanical design of the facility, to mechatronic components and facility control technology to production system operations and logistics. Placed focal points in this group of research - manufacturing equipment, structural mechanics, assembly systems and production design - complement each other in an ideal manner, because their interaction enables a comprehensive view of production facilities, their operations as well as process chains from different, essential perspectives.
