The faculty maintains numerous international research collaborations and offers many opportunities to combine studies with internationality. Teaching and research are internationally oriented and networked worldwide. Internationality is a strategic profile feature of research and teaching, and the maintenance and expansion of international cooperation is pursued. Science and research have always acted internationally.

An increasing number of international study and doctoral programs, international scientists, international students and doctoral candidates characterize the department. In order to develop this further, the department is optimizing its international degree programs and promoting the international exchange of its students, scientists and employees. The department sees internationalization as a process that extends to all areas of the department.
