Annual appraisals

In 2011, the University of Bremen introduced the annual appraisal as an important instrument of personnel development and management for all employees in research and teaching as well as in administration and technology. Participation is mandatory for all managers and employees of the university.

Conducting regular annual appraisals can

  • improve cooperation,
  • promote appreciative feedback between supervisors and their employees,
  • help to coordinate new fields of work and tasks,
  • and support and advance professional development.

HR Development supports managers and employees in preparing and conducting annual appraisals.
