Women's Representatives Collective
We - the women's representatives of Faculty 6 - are a collective of 8 women* - students and academic staff - who work together for the interests of women* in our faculty and serve as contact persons in cases of discrimination.
We are subordinate to the women's representative of the university and, according to the Guideline for the Advancement of Women, have the task to work towards eliminating existing disadvantages for women* in our department and to promote women* in studies, teaching and research.
Our objective is to address and combat social and legal attributions, stereotyping and discrimination based on prejudice since gender discrimination can also relate to sexual orientation or gender identity and other characteristics - such as discrimination based on racial attribution, religion, or physical ability. For this reason, we work closely with the Advisory and Information Centre against Discrimination & Violence (ADE) and can refer you to contact persons if necessary.
If you feel discriminated or harassed, feel free to contact us. Of course, you can also contact us if you would like to get involved or if you have any other suggestions you would like to share with us, preferably by e-mail (fbak-jura[at]uni-bremen.de). You can also contact us directly or visit us during our office hour, which always takes place on the first Tuesday of a month at 3 p.m. in room A1220.
