Professor of Civil Law, in particular family law, labour and social law, gender studies

Prof. Dr. Angie Schneider (* 1979) studied law at the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf and the University of Cologne. She passed the First State Examination in Law in 2004 and the Second State Examination in Law in 2008. During her postgraduate internship in the district of the Higher Regional Court (OLG) of Düsseldorf she completed her doctorate at the University of Cologne (supervised by Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Barbara Dauner-Lieb) in 2006. In 2014, she completed her habilitation at the University of Cologne (supervised by Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Ulrich Preis). After deputy professorships at the Universities of Bonn, Hamburg and Potsdam, she was appointed as Professor of Civil Law at the University of Bremen in the winter semester 2021/22.

Prof. Dr. Angie Schneider is married and has two children.
