Binational doctoral degree (cotutelle de thèse)

The binational doctorate (cotutelle de thèse) is a doctoral degree supervised at the home university as well as a foreign university.

As a candidate you will be matriculated and have a supervisor at at both universities, the time spent on doctoral studies at each university is to be balanced as equally as possible.

The details of supervision will be set out in an individual cooperation agreement. Both universities award the doctoral degree, with a reference in the degree certificate to the degree obtained at the other university.
