Moin Bremen!
We asked our Team member which places they love Bremen -
maybe you'll love them too?
Geschichtenhaus
"[I recommend the] Geschichtenhaus in the City Center, but only for visitors with a basic proficiency in German language (to the best of my knowledge no English tours are available): fantastic tour through three centuries of Bremen’s history through the eyes of some of its most famous and eccentric citizens from all walks of life (from a barrel maker to a witty fishmonger to a notorious murderess), brought to life by long-term unemployed individuals who have received training in the basics of acting. Not to be missed!"

Bürgerpark
"[I recommend] going for a stroll in the Bürgerpark, renting a rowing boat and heading to the Meierei (pricey, but worth it/ Watch out: only open on Sundays), otherwise Haus am Walde or Emma am See, named after Emma von Lesum who bequeathed the Bürgerweide to the citizens of Bremen."

Weincafé Engel and more!
Nicole Rennschmied, the business manager of our outpatient clinic, has a few recommendations for an enjoyable evening: the Engel Weincafé in the neighbourhood. Great wine selection, delicious, weekly changing dishes, and the Chapeau La Vache in Hollerallee: very good, fine cuisine (fine dining), the ambience of the old villa is great, and the bar is a real eye-catcher for an aperitif or nightcap! And here are 2 more bars for cocktail drinkers: - Lemon Garden Lounge am Wall: Great after-work offers and exciting ‘own creations’ and the Blauer Fasan in B?ttcherstrasse: For the later cocktail - reservation recommended!

Cafés and weekly market
For me, there's hardly anything better than enjoying a really good coffee in the sun - preferably in the centre of the city, where there's always something going on.
My favourite cafés? Definitely the Café Corner, the Harbour Café - and for those who are out and about early: Nils Kaffeebude at the Findorf weekly market. On Thursdays and Saturdays, you can get freshly brewed coffee there from 7 a.m. - in the middle of flower stalls, fish stalls and greengrocers. Right on the edge of the Bürgerpark, you can start the day here with real Bremen flair and a nice chat.
