University of Bremen Campus App
Where can I get the app?
You can download the app at https://studo.app/?app=unibremen or find it in app stores under University of Bremen.

- Those who cannot or do not want to use the app can apply for a replacement document for the digital student ID card via moin.
- Information on the app-free alternative for the Germany semester ticket can be found on the AStA website.
- The European Student Card is only available as a digital ID card.
Things to know about the Campus App
After opening the downloaded app, click on “I'm new here.” Then create a personal account and log in with your university account. This is the part of your email address before @uni-bremen.de.
Please activate this function when using it for the first time. Then, in emergencies such as fire, IT failure, or rampage situations, you will receive an alarm message that ignores your “Do Not Disturb” mode.
The app strictly adheres to the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) with regard to the handling of personal data. For example, personal data is never stored on the app provider's (Studo) servers; the app only displays this data based on the interfaces to CampusNet and identity management. GDPR compliance is ensured on the basis of annual data protection reports by T?V Süd.
To avoid having to log in again each time you start the app, login credentials are stored locally in an encrypted form in an area secured by the operating system. This personal data is also not passed on to third parties.
To use the European Student Card (ESC), you must register once on the EU platform and agree to the terms of use. The app will guide you through the process. After that, the ESC works like any other ID card.
No. An ESC hologram can be applied to an existing plastic campus card. The EU does not provide its own/separate cards for the ESC, and the University of Bremen has no plans to introduce plastic cards (too expensive, too complex, not sustainable, could not include all services).
As long as you are enrolled, the ID cards will be displayed in the app and automatically updated at the end of each semester. This is no longer possible after the date of de-registration. The ID cards for the winter semester will be displayed until March 31, 11:59 p.m., and those for the summer semester from April 1.
To do this, use the enrollment certificate, which is available on the moin portal and can be downloaded and printed as often as needed. It is valid in conjunction with photo ID, just like a student ID card. Based on feedback received so far, we are currently reviewing whether and how small enrollment certificates can also be made available via the moin portal.
Providing a phone number is necessary for both security and usability reasons. What appears to be a uniform app environment actually consists of two technically separate environments: on the one hand, access to the university with a university login and, on the other hand, the “private” environment for any additional modules in the app with login via phone number.
The app uses university credentials for login. This means that you log in directly to the University of Bremen's moin portal. Therefore, you must first log in with your credentials. The campus app only stores the credentials you enter locally in encrypted form in an area secured by the operating system.
You can, of course, delete your data at any time – even before entering your university login credentials. To do so, click on “Feedback and Support” in the top right-hand corner of the app and request deletion via support chat or by emailing supportprotect me ?!studoprotect me ?!.com.
Some campus apps include a payment function (for example for cafeteria). Although this is currently disabled in the “Universities of Bremen” app, the basic app architecture supports such in-app purchases. That is why this information appears in the Google Play Store.
If you encounter technical problems with the app, tap on the three dots in the top right corner and select Feedback & Support > Contact Support. If you are unable to contact us via the app, please send an email to supportprotect me ?!studoprotect me ?!.com.
… will be added gradually. Discussions are underway with the StuGens and student councils to determine which functionalities should be added.
The app was developed in cooperation between the University of Bremen and Studo. Studo is an educational technology company based in Graz, Leverkusen, and Maribor that focuses on digitalization solutions for students and universities. Studo has been offering an organizational app for students since 2016. It is currently used by around 500,000 students every day.
The campus app is a so-called white label app, i.e., a commercial solution that is adapted to the needs of the University of Bremen.
