The Junge Akademie is the early-career program of the Academy of Sciences and Literature | Mainz. In 2026, it will start its third cohort by admitting 50 excellent early-career researchers from 28 institutions and across 31 disciplines in Germany as new members.
A distinctive feature of the program is its integrative approach: members of the Junge Akademie have the same speaking rights at Academy meetings as the established members of the learned society. This creates ideal conditions for interdisciplinary exchange.
Dr Voshaar’s research sits at the intersection of accounting, technology, and innovation. He studies how technological developments reshape accounting processes and practices, and what this implies for the profession and the education of future experts. His admission acknowledges his achievements and strengthens the visibility of the University of Bremen in a highly competitive, interdisciplinary selection process.
