Prof. Dr.-Ing. Kurosch Rezwan

Kurosch Rezwan is Professor of Advanced Ceramics at the University of Bremen and chairperson of MAPEX. He earned his degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from the ETH Zurich. After being a visiting research fellow at the University of California Santa Barbara and at the Imperial College of Science and Technology in London, he joined the University of Bremen in 2006. He was distinguished with the ETH HILTI award for innovation and excellence in science and engineering, the Starting Independent Research Grant by the European Research Council, the Fritz-Behrens award for outstanding scientists and the Wessels award for excellent and innovative industrial cooperation. He and his team’s research focus on the design of advanced ceramic materials interfaces for biological environments and biotechnological processes.
