Since March 2023, Olga Masyutina is a research fellow in the hyBit project. In July 2023 she defended her doctoral thesis "Papers on the Political Economy of Authoritarianism" which explored the interplay between authoritarian political institutions and socio-economic outcomes. In 2019-2023 she was a doctoral researcher (PhD candidate) in the team of Prof. Dr. Michael Rochlitz (Professorship of Institutional Change) at the University of Bremen. Before joining Uni Bremen, she worked as a project manager at the International Center for the Study of Institutions and Development (ICSID) at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow, a close research partner of the working group.
