Hermine is studying sociology in the Bachelor’s programme at the University of Bremen. Under the DataNord Initiative , she is currently doing a cross-institutional internship that will allow her to get to know different scientific institutions and gather practical experiences in the field of data science.
Hermine has already completed the first part of her internship. From February to March, she worked at the ifib (Institute for Information Management Bremen GmbH). There she supported the realization of the DataNord subproject “We The (Social) Media: Social Media by and for Social Movements ” (more about the project ).
In the coming weeks, Hermine will continue her internship at the Data Science Center. During this time, she will accompany and support our DSC help desk employees Susanne de Vogel (social sciences focus) and Nele Fuchs (humanities focus) in the area of data science support to gain insights into the topics of research data management and data science.
Hermines tasks will include, for instance, conducting research, attending team meetings and data science consultations, as well as assisting in the preparation of data literacy workshops.
