Online Discussion Round: "NFDI - Neue Perspektiven in der kooperativen Wissenschaft!"

The opportunities and challenges in research data management will be discussed. Our spokesperson Rolf Drechsler provides the data science perspective.

On September 9th at 6 pm, the U Bremen Research Alliance (UBRA) will host a moderated online discussion on the topic "Nationale Forschungsdateninfrastruktur (NFDI) - Neue Perspektiven in der kooperativen Wissenschaft!". Together with the participants, the panel will discuss the activities of the NFDI as well as the opportunities and challenges that arise for science through sustainable research data management. The discussion will be driven by the question:

?Is data archiving and availability in a national and international context going to lead to more cooperative science and an increase in knowledge??

The panel is composed of research experts, former members of the "Rates für Informationsinfrastrukturen" (RfII) and representatives of the NFDI. The Data Science Center will be represented by our spokesperson Prof. Dr. Rolf Drechsler, who will participate in the discussion together with Prof. Dr. York Sure-Vetter, Prof. Dr. Iris Pigeot, Prof. Dr. Frank-Oliver Gl?ckner, Sabine Grünger-Weilandt, and Jan-Martin Wiarda as moderator. The discussion will take place online via zoom. Questions and contributions to the discussion can be submitted via a chat system.
