Overview
For the establishment of a hydrogen industry in Germany, joint efforts across the federal states are necessary. The current early phase of the transformation to a hydrogen-based industry is still characterised by great uncertainties, both technologically and socially. This is where the hyTracks project comes in. Together with decision-makers, it will model transformation paths along the hydrogen value chain using the example of Bremen's industrial port and develop approaches to solutions.
The complexity of the transformation of cross-sectoral hydrogen value chains makes it clear that this can only be shaped in cooperation with all the actors involved. In the research project hyTracks at the University of Bremen, an interactive platform is being developed to support such processes.
The Digital Media Lab is responsible for designing the interaction platform using a Tangible User Interface (TUI) and a multimodal and natural interaction to support the complex and abstract processes and to promote collaboration between the actors. The interaction and visualisation methods developed in this way for the developed agent-based model will then be tested in the participatory exploration of the transformation processes.
