From March to August, Patcharaphon Sribunthankul (Mai) from Chiang Mai University, Thailand, is visiting our lab as a research guest. She is studying under the supervision of Dr. Supara Grudpan, a former colleague who worked with us as a PHD student and completed her doctorate in November 2023.
Mai is interested in user experience design and user behavior, particularly in understanding how people interact with digital systems. Her focus is on how digital environments can be designed to support user decision-making. Currently, her research explores the application of digital nudging in surveys, examining how interface elements of a digital survey can influence user behavior while respecting individual autonomy. She also investigates how various interventions can be tailored to particular personality traits to enhance user engagement. Consequently, the title of her master thesis is "Design and Evaluation of Digital Nudging Techniques for Survey Applications Based on Users' Personality Traits"
A warm welcome to Mai! We enjoy having you with us.
