Bremen German Studies sees itself programmatically as a full German Studies programme that encompasses and relates to medieval studies, literary studies, and linguistics in equal measure. In research and teaching, the subject is integrated into numerous interdisciplinary and international contexts, while at a local level a large number of cooperations ensure a productive exchange between theory and practice, as well as between the university and the broader cultural landscape beyond academia.
