Session 1: How do Core Facilities contribute to their host institutions?

The impact that Core Facilities have on the scientific output of their host institutions can be difficult to quantify.

This session aims to promote examples of Core Facilities successfully contributing to research and / or teaching activities.

Additionally, ideas for the quantification of Core Facilities’ value will be presented.

Session 2: Managing a Core Facility

Administrating available instrumentation, billing its usage, financing new equipment, repairs, and personnel is the central task of a Core Facility.

Different solutions including their advantages and disadvantages will be discussed.
