Innovation Labs for digital transformation
For specific topics of future importance for digitalization at the University of Bremen, a series of workshops will be organized in quick succession and new developments assessed, scenarios for the University of Bremen developed, and exemplary trials undertaken. Outside parties may be consulted for ideas and suggestions. Pertinent, interested individuals from across the whole university spectrum will be involved.
The first round of the Innovation Labs included a Quick Wins workshop on the digitalization of the administration on June 18, 2021. The participants from the university itself had the opportunity to pitch their own ideas for projects, assess each other’s proposals, select them, and develop them further and in more detail in small groups.
This led to the setting up of two Quick Wins projects which are currently being implemented:
- Digital signatures and signatureless forms
- (Partial) Automation of travel expenses (CO2 compensation and meals).
