Specialisation in Bachelor's Chemistry

Our Bachelor’s Chemistry program provides students with essential knowledge and practical methods training in the classical core subjects of inorganic, organic and physical chemistry as well as biochemistry, theoretical and macromolecular chemistry. This subject-related training is complemented with courses in physics, mathematics and biology.

In the third year students choose a specialisation in Chemistry or Biochemistry to deepen their knowledge in one of these two areas.
The students carry out an individual scientific project in a working group. This project will be followed by a Bachelor's thesis. In this way, third year students of Chemistry as a full major come into close contact with the research groups in FB2 and the research topics they are working on.
