"Challenges and Opportunities of Chinese Investments in Germany"
Dr. Jungbluth has been with Bertelsmann Stiftung since 2012. Before joining the Global Economic Dynamics project (GED) in April 2015, she was China expert in the "Germany and Asia" program. Her fields of expertise include international trade and investment flows, China’s economic development and Sino-EU/Sino-German economic relations.
At the GED project, Dr. Jungbluth specializes in macroeconomic analyses on Asia with a focus on regional trade agreements, global value chains and international investment. Before joining Bertelsmann Stiftung, Dr. Jungbluth was assistant professor at the Institute of Chinese Studies, University of Freiburg, Germany. Her research and teaching focused on the economic development of China and East Asia. From 2009 to 2012, she worked as a researcher at the Cluster of Excellence "Asia and Europe in a Global Context" at Heidelberg University, where she also acted as head of her research group. Her focus was on trends in China’s foreign direct investment.
