Care and Living in a Family! "Now I care for myself!" Self-Care for Caregivers
Tuesday, May 20th - 1:00 to 1:50 PM
Parental caregivers often remain invisible to the public due to the burden they face and the solutions they offer. This lecture and discussion will provide space for the topics and experiences of parental caregivers. The focus will be on the topic of "self-care for family caregivers" with all its ambivalences. We will examine together what self-care can mean for family caregivers, how vicious circles can arise, and how to successfully escape. We will also look at the possibilities available in everyday life for creating small islands of idleness.

A resource-oriented perspective on the diversity of human identity is an essential feature of my work. I work for equal social interaction between people. Successfully shaping this coexistence requires a process of reflection and design by all involved. I see my role as facilitating these processes. My areas of expertise include shaping diversity together, queer life and education, neurodiversity, and solution-oriented conflict resolution with awareness of traumatic aspects.
