Introduction

Quynh Duong Phuong has been a member of the LEMEX team since 2016 and a research assistant at the Chair of Small Business, Start-ups, and Entrepreneurship at the University of Bremen since 2018.

She holds a master's degree in business administration and has gained practical experience in event management, employer branding, and social media management through previous jobs and internships.

She has also been involved in the chair's transfer activities, including as part of the European research project Inno-Quarter and as an expert on new work and digital business models for the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Bremen-Oldenburg.

Her research focuses on entrepreneurship education, diaspora entrepreneurship, and transnational entrepreneurship.

In 2024, Quynh received her doctorate with her dissertation “Exploring the Transition Gap – A Processual Model of Contextual Influences on Students' Engagement in Entrepreneurial Activities.”

Quynh supports various start-up courses offered by the chair as a tutor and coach. Since 2025, she has also been involved in the future concepts Bremen project, where she offers practical courses in start-up management and lean startup & prototyping.
