Diginomics Summer Conference

We are delighted to announce the 1st Diginomics mini-conference, which will take place on the 3rd July 2024 at the University of Bremen. Our conference is primarily aimed at early stage researchers looking to gain further experience in conference submission and presentation processes including the trials and tribulations of the peer-review cycles. Participation is free and includes: opportunity to have your budding paper reviewed by a senior scholar from the Faculty of Business and Economics, peer feedback on your research and presentation, snacks during the day, networking event after the conference.

Call for Papers

Entitled “Bits & business: the digital in the economy and society” – The conference emphasises the pervasive influence of digital technologies on economic and social systems.  As such, we are interested in exciting and thought-provoking contributions on any topic related to "the digital" within a social or economic context. We deliberately do not limit the call to a specific domain, theoretical lens, or research approach. We also impose no constraints in terms of theory, method, paradigm or context.

  • We accept the following three paper types: completed research papers, research-in-progress papers (that describe ongoing work, rather than an initial idea) or stand-alone literature reviews.
  • Page length: Maximum 10 pages, this covers everything in the submission, including title, text, tables, figures, appendices and references. For literature reviews: the references are excluded from the page limit.
  • Format: single space, one column, Times New Roman 12, APA referencing style.
  • Registration and submission
  • Submission Open:  May 10th
  • Submission Deadline: 23:59 (CET) June 6th
  • Acceptance Notification: June 21st
