Marco Nicola Binetti has been working as a research assistant at InIIS since February 2024. He earned his master's degree from Bocconi University in 2016 and completed his Ph.D. at the Department of Government at Essex University with a thesis on "Coup-proofing and resource allocation in fragile and post-war countries" in 2021.
From 2021 to 2023, he worked as a research associate at the Kompetenzzentrum Krisenfrüherkennung, where he drafted policy reports for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, conducted the analysis of geolocated data, and developed models for crisis early warning.
Outside academia he worked as Editor for the Action Institute think thank from 2013 to 2015.
