Accessible Studying: Findings and (Student) Perspectives from the Conference 'Diversity in Higher Education'

How can barrier-free studying at university be improved? In this lecture, students from the University of Bremen will present key findings from the conference “Overcoming barriers, developing potential: Diversity in Higher Education”. Both general and specific student perspectives on existing barriers and necessary changes at universities will be highlighted.In the second part of the event, an open discussion round will take place in which further challenges and solutions will be collected and secured. The aim is to jointly develop ideas for a more inclusive university structure. All interested parties are cordially invited to actively participate in the discussion!

About these persons

The speakers are Rasmus Bisanz, Master's student in Public Health, Health Promotion and Prevention, and Anika Küchenhoff, Master's student in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy. Both are main organizers of the conference and active members of the BaS (Barrier-free Studying/Barrierearmes Studieren) initiative and have already implemented numerous projects to improve accessibility at the University of Bremen.
