The master program Biochemistry and Molecular Biology invites you to come with us on a journey through the diverse disciplines of science. Our Symposium “Synthetic Biology – A Canvas for Curiosity” will take place on October 13 and 14, 2020.

The master program Biochemistry and Molecular Biology invites you to come with us on a journey through the diverse disciplines of science.
Our Symposium “Synthetic Biology – A Canvas for Curiosity” will take place on October 13 and 14, 2020. We will present our own ideas in form of a project proposal which unites different faculties and are looking forward to hearing your questions and opinions.
Besides our presentations, guest speakers will give talks. Dr. Kerstin G?pfrich is a research group leader at the Max Planck Institut Heidelberg and will give us an idea on microfluidic systems and nanotechnology. Dr. Alberto Sánchez-Pascuala, a postdoc at the Max Planck Institut Marburg is dealing with the optimization of metabolic pathways, as photosynthesis. Together with Dr. Nick Lane, author and professor for evolutionary biochemistry, we want to dive into the fundamental questions of biology: Where does life come from? Is there a chance for external life in the universe? Why do we age?

Due to the current Covid-19 situation, we want to invite you to join online via Zoom. Did we get your interest? Just come by at the 13. Of October between 9 AM and 18 PM and on October 14th from 9 AM to 13 PM.

If you register on Stud.IP, you will get all further information and log in information to zoom: https://elearning.uni-bremen.de/dispatch.php/course/studygroup/details/d0df53daae46f6cbfc44da98ae93650c,
