M.Sc. Electrochemical Engineering for Sustainability

The Master’s program starts in the winter semester 26/27.

Shape the technologies of tomorrow – as an expert in electrochemistry and sustainability!
Electrochemistry as a key technology for the energy transition
The new Master's program in Electrochemical Engineering for Sustainability at the University of Bremen is unique in Germany. It provides in-depth knowledge of electrochemical systems and their applications in energy storage, energy conversion, and sustainable production.
During your studies, you will explore materials science, electrochemical processes, energy storage systems, hydrogen technologies, batteries, and corrosion protection. A strong practical focus is ensured through industrial projects, internships, and research projects. A special highlight: As part of a double-degree program, you can also earn an M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the Università degli Studi di Palermo (Italy).
Graduates are ideally qualified for careers in the chemical industry, energy sector, automotive industry, or research institutions – both regionally (e.g., Northvolt, Trimet, Dow) and internationally.
