Graduates, lecturers and mentors came together to celebrate the successful completion of their studies and look back on their time at university.
After the guests arrived, Prof. Dr. Ingrid Darmann-Finck, Dean of Faculty 11 and Head of the Qualification and Curriculum Research Department at the Institute of Public Health and Nursing Research (IPP), opened the official part of the evening with a welcome speech. This was followed by welcoming remarks from Jens Oestreich, advisor to the Senator for Health, Women and Consumer Protection, from Jannis Hübner on behalf of the student council (StugA), and from Renate Heitmann on behalf of the University of Bremen Alumni Association. The welcoming remarks highlighted the diverse career prospects of the graduates and the social relevance of their extensive expertise.
Another highlight of the evening was the award ceremony for outstanding theses. The awards went to Jan Donix (Teaching at Vocational Schools – Nursing, M.Ed.), Julia Konrad (Teaching at Vocational Schools – Nursing, M.Ed.) and Julia Misonow (Community Health Care and Nursing, M.Sc.). Their theses are exemplary of the academic quality and thematic diversity of the nursing science programmes. Afterwards, all graduates were given a ceremonial send-off. Pianist Kristina Legostaeva provided the musical accompaniment for the evening, underscoring the festive atmosphere of the event with her piano playing. Following the official part of the evening, guests enjoyed a champagne reception and personal conversations, providing an opportunity for exchange, reunion and networking. We congratulate all graduates on their successful completion of their studies and wish them all the best for their future professional and personal careers.
