Every spring, the Praxisb?rse brings together students, companies, and institutions on the campus of the University of Bremen. MAPEX introduced itself to the nearly 20,000 students at the University of Bremen and other visitors of the fair. At the MAPEX booth, students talked to MAPEX staff and doctoral candidates.
There was high demand for positions as student assistants in specific research projects, master's programs, and doctoral opportunities. The master's program in Process-Oriented Materials Research (ProMat) initiated by MAPEX optimally prepares bachelor's students for a doctorate. A doctorate in the natural sciences and engineering opens up first-class career prospects in research and industry. Doctoral students at MAPEX are part of one of Germany's leading materials research networks. They benefit from an excellent local network that connects more than 1,000 scientific and technical staff. They work directly on campus with partners from research and industry. They also cooperate with renowned institutes such as the Leibniz Institute for Materials-Oriented Technologies (IWT), the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Applied Materials Research (IFAM), the Fiber Institute Bremen e.V. (FIBRE), the Bremen Institute for Applied Beam Technology GmbH (BIAS), and the DLR Institute of Space Systems.
