konekt - Strengthening skills for parents

Reconciling work and family life is a major challenge for many parents. Increasing role expectations, organisational hurdles and conflicts in a working environment that is becoming ever more complex are becoming more and more of a burden. In this context, the personnel development programme ‘konekt - Kompetenzst?rkung für Eltern’ (konekt - Strengthening skills for parents) was launched for employees in technology and administration on behalf of the Chancellor. The aim of the University of Bremen is to strengthen the role and health of parents, promote networks within the university and create a supportive atmosphere. The workshops, seminars and events offered are continuously coordinated with the programme participants so that their topics can be reflected upon and improvements can be developed.

Time frame: Autumn 2024 to summer 2026

Number of participants: 12 participants, selection procedure

Procedure: Quarterly workshops, seminars or networking meetings

Language: The language of communication is German, but it will be ensured that speakers can also communicate in English.
