Generative AI in Teaching and Assessment. Monthly Short Workshops for Instructors and Tutors (February–June 2026)

Artificial intelligence is constantly evolving—and so are the demands placed on university lecturers. In this two-hour workshop, we will present the University of Bremen’s current legal and pedagogical recommendations for the use of AI in teaching

as well as updates on “ChatAI,” the university-wide, privacy-compliant tool.

You will explore teaching scenarios and other AI-supported applications at the University of Bremen and develop practical strategies for using AI in your teaching in a way that aligns with learning objectives, including considerations regarding exam formats. You will also receive tools to establish clear and transparent rules for AI use and to engage in constructive dialogue with your students.

This workshop is suitable for lecturers and tutors, whether you are just getting started with generative AI (e.g., ChatGPT) or already have experience with it. It is offered via a Zoom link in Stud.IP.

Lecturers: Franziska Richter oder Julie Direnga (Referat 13) und Martina Salm (ZMML)
