The Dean is head of the Faculty in accordance with § 89 para. 2 BremHG and responsible for the implementation of decisions of the Faculty Council. He represents the Faculty within and outside the university. Insofar, the Act provides for his general competence for the interests of the Faculty and refers to competence “in all matters”. In addition to everyday business, I am therefore ready to listen to any suggestions, requests and problems associated with the Faculty and will always take time to answer or solve these. Don’t hesitate to contact me – together we will find a solution. We cannot thank the Faculty Administration enough for their constant and outstanding support of the work of Dean’s Office. The Dean’s Office could not function without them.
Dean of Studies
As Dean of Studies I will be responsible for teaching at the Faculty from October 2023. I see myself as an advocate for the students with the aim of optimising the range of courses, study conditions and examination modalities. The focus will be on the introduction of the new Bachelor programme as well as the move to the city centre. As Faculty Officer for Erasmus, it is important to me to motivate students to opt for English-language courses, the area of specialisation Transnational Law or studying abroad at one of our many partner universities. Lastly, as Dean of Studies, I chair the Study Commission and work closely with the Study Centre, which also supports me in my tasks.
