Erdem Evren
I read sociology, social anthropology and political science in Istanbul, London and Berlin. After completing my PhD at the Arbeitsstelle Politik des Vorderen Orients (now Arbeitsstelle Politik im Maghreb, Mashreq und Golf), FU Berlin, I worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the Leibniz-Zentrum Moderner Orient between 2012 and 2019. I spent ten months between September 2016 and July 2017 as a visiting post-doctoral fellow at the Department of Anthropology, University of Toronto with the support of the Volkswagen Fellowship in the Humanities. Lately, I have been teaching courses in anthropology in Berlin, Bremen and Istanbul.
