Languages and Countries Quiz at StuCa Bremerhaven

On Tuesday, June 11, the SZHB, the ASTA Bremerhaven and the Local Erasmus Initiative (ELI) of Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences will be hosting a quiz about languages and countries. We look forward to welcoming lots of quiz participants!


Intensive language courses from July to September

Soon it will be that time again: our intensive courses are about to start! From July to September, the Language Center will be offering intensive courses in 10 languages. Thai is a new addition to the program. The tutoring program for independent language learning will also be taking place.


Let's speak English

On Friday, April 26, 2024, the SZHB is offering an afternoon of language activities and games for anyone interested in English at the city library (Zentralbibliothek, Am Wall, 2nd floor).


Language cafés and more this summer semester

During summer semester 2024, we are offering language cafés in 8 languages and many other additional language learning opportunities. Participation is free of charge for students.

On the occasion of French Language Day, language experts from the Institut Francais will be offering an afternoon of language activities and games at the city library (Zentralbibliothek) on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.

German language café during the semester break

The German language café for the levels B1/B2 will continue to take place during the semester break for the first time.


Interactive lecture: "Gendern auf ... Tagalog"

The second lecture in our series on inclusive language is about the Filipino language Tagalog and its special features. The event will take place on Tuesday, the 16th of January 2024, at 18:00 in the City Library (in the Krimibibliothek section). Anyone interested is very welcome to attend!

In February and March 2024, the Language Center is offering intensive courses in 11 languages. Registration is open. The tutoring program for independent language learning will also take place during the semester break.
