Where to find the SZHB
The "Language Centre of the Universities in the Land of Bremen (SZHB)" is a joint institution serving the four public universities in the federal state of Bremen: the University of Bremen, the Hochschule Bremen (HSB), the Hochschule für Künste (HfK) and the Hochschule Bremerhaven (HSBHV).
We offer curricular language courses, language courses for the General Studies component, and a broad portfolio of independent study options at all universities.
Our language courses for German, French and Spanish are offered in cooperation with our partner institutes in Bremen.

The SZHB is easy to reach on public transport or by car.
Public transport
Leave the main railway station at the 'City Centre' exit, cross over to the bus and tram station and take the No. 6 tram going to "Universit?t". Tickets can be bought in the BSAG-Kundencenter or from the ticket machine in the tram. At peak times, the trams run every 5 - 10 mins. The journey to the university takes about 15 mins. Leave the tram at "Universit?t/Zentralbereich".
By car
When you are approaching from the A1 motorway, change to the A27 motorway towards Bremen-Bremerhaven at the Bremer Kreuz motorway junction. Leave the A27 at the exit for Universit?t / Horn-Lehe and follow the signs for Centrum / Universit?t. Turn right off Universit?tsallee into Enrique-Schmidt-Stra?e. On the left is a big ground-level car park or you can use the underground car park underneath GW2.

Public transport
The Deutsche Bahn and EVB provide a regular train service from Bremen and Hamburg to Bremerhaven. From Bremerhaven main railway station, take one of the many buses going to the HSBHV; the journey time is 3 to 5 minutes.
Car
Leave the A27 motorway at the exit for Bremerhaven/Mitte. Keep right until you reach the Grimsbystra?e/Stresemannstra?e junction. Turn left and continue along Elbestra?e for approx. 1.2 km until you reach the junction with Ludwigstra?e. Turn right, cross the Geestebrücke bridge and you will then see the HSBHV on your left.
The "Theater" multi-storey car park is very close to Haus S. Entry to the car park is from Columbusstra?e only.
