She completed a teaching degree at the University of Hamburg and obtained her doctorate as part of the academic support given to Berlin community schools with a thesis on the experiences of participating students. After working as a research associate in Hildesheim, as a substitute professor in Osnabrück, and as a junior professor at Humboldt-Universit?t zu Berlin, she was most recently Professor of School Education with a focus on school research at Technische Universit?t Dresden (TUD). Her research focuses on questions around the transformation of schools in the context of societal developments. As part of an ethnographic project, she is currently working on the practice of advanced teacher training in the field of antidiscrimination.
