The funds from the State of Bremen are used to better anchor activities and measures in YUFE and to strengthen cooperation with YUFE partner universities.
What can be funded?
Funding can be provided for measures that further embed YUFE in your discipline, increase YUFE's visibility, or strengthen exchange with YUFE partner universities through joint events. Ideally, at least two other YUFE partner universities will be involved in addition to the University of Bremen.
Measures that lead to a stable course offering in YUFE contexts (e.g., in the YUFE Course Catalog or as a YUFE Minor) are particularly interesting. Our goal is to increase the number of English-taught courses offered by the University of Bremen within YUFE. Courses that are attractive to YUFE students should be taught in English, be virtual or hybrid, and ideally be offered regularly.
This is an example list:
- Acquisition of technical equipment to promote virtual and hybrid teaching in the YUFE context.
- Funding for the translation of teaching units into English to make them attractive in the YUFE context.
- Funding for didactic support of teaching settings to make them more accessible to YUFE students.
- Student assistants (SHKs) to support your YUFE activities (e.g., administrative or organizational support for workshops, collaborations, and courses).
- Teaching assignments that directly lead to offerings in the YUFE Course Catalog.
- Start-up funding for the development of an application for a Blended Intensive Program (Erasmus+) within the YUFE Alliance.
- Organization and moderation of YUFE networking meetings or workshops, including catering (daily flat rate).
- YUFE-related printing and design costs.
- Travel expenses related to YUFE events.
What cannot be funded?
- Technical equipment for staff (e.g. work laptops)
- Personnel costs except SHK
